In the previous article we looked at the things that stop you from reaching your dreams. Now it’s time to go deeper and find out how to actually release these inner blocks. It’s a process of self-knowledge and the conscious decision to escape the old patterns that hold you back.

1. Accept your fears and doubts

The first step in releasing blocks is accepting them. Yes, you’re afraid. Yes, you doubt yourself. But instead of suppressing or fighting these feelings, accept them as part of your path. They aren’t the end of your journey, just obstacles to overcome. Remember that fear and doubt don’t define you – they’re only signals that you’re entering new territory.

2. Reframe your thoughts

Often it isn’t the circumstances that block us but the way we think about them. When you notice your thoughts keeping you small, become aware of them and rephrase them. Instead of “I can’t do this”, tell yourself “I’m ready to try and learn”. This change of perspective is incredibly powerful and opens new possibilities.

3. Visualise your success

Visualisation is a powerful way to overcome inner blocks. Imagine how it will feel when you reach your goals. What will you see, hear and feel? What will your life look like? This clear picture gives you a goal to work towards and helps loosen unconscious blocks. Your mind starts to treat the picture as something real and works towards it.

4. Break your goals into small steps

A big dream can feel overwhelming. You know where you want to go, but the road seems endless. To get around the blocks, break your big dream into small, achievable steps. Every small success gives you the confidence to keep going. Set daily or weekly goals and celebrate your progress – even the smallest.

5. Build a positive environment

To overcome inner blocks, your environment needs to support you. Surround yourself with people who believe in you, share your vision and motivate you. Distance yourself from toxic relationships that keep you small. Create a physical environment that inspires you too. A positive environment fosters success.

6. Develop a daily practice

Consistency is key. When you work on yourself regularly, the blocks break down bit by bit. Create a daily practice – meditation, journaling or a morning routine that gives you clarity. The more consciously you start your day, the better you can focus on your goals and free yourself from negative thoughts.

7. Trust the process

Sometimes results aren’t visible straight away. You do everything, yet nothing seems to change. In those moments it’s important to trust the process. Change takes time. The fact that you recognise your blocks and are working on them means you’re already on the right path. Don’t give up when setbacks come – they’re part of the journey.

Imagine

how it will feel when you’re finally living your dreams. You have it in you to overcome these blocks. How you respond to challenges is in your hands. Accept, reframe, visualise – and move forward in small, conscious steps. Your dreams are closer than you think.
